Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $467,872.64 <br />Payroll $439,900.00 <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the Consent <br />Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Contract for Design Services at Dos Vientos Community Park in the amount of <br />$65,000 ($60,470 plus $4,530 contingency for expenses) <br />Hare reported this contract is for preparing architectural designs for park improvements at <br />Dos Vientos Community Park. A formal RFP process was followed. Six proposals were <br />received; staff reviewed and screened the proposals and interviewed the top proposer. <br />Greg Korn Architect (GKA) is recommended as the best choice based on criteria set forth in <br />the RFP. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to authorize General <br />Manager to enter into a contract with Greg Korn Architect (GKA) in the total amount <br />of $65,000 ($60,470 plus $4,530 contingency for expenses) to prepare architectural <br />design services for Dos Vientos Community Center and park improvements, <br />including storage addition exterior shaded programmable area, existing office <br />renovation, and further development of existing secondary entryway. <br />B. Award bid for North Ranch Neighborhood Park Reclaimed Irrigation Water Project in <br />the amount of $345,000 (Base Bid $186,600 plus Add Alternate #1 $130,000 plus <br />contingency amount of $28,400) <br />Hare reported he was instructed by the Board in mid-October to send this project out for a <br />re -bid due to lack of bids. Four bids were received. The lowest bid was from United <br />Construction and Landscape, Inc. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried " to: <br />1. Appropriate $40,000 from Turf Conversion Accounts; and <br />2. Award bid to United Construction and Landscape, Inc. for $315,50 (Base bid <br />$186,600 plus Add Alternate #1 $130,000) plus contingency in the amount of <br />$28,400 totaling $345,000 for irrigation equipment modification from potable <br />to reclaimed water irrigation system, including new reclaimed water mainline <br />
