Rather, Commission funds are designated for <br />the support of the Goebel Adult Community Center, its patrons, and its <br />programs. <br />The vote was taken, and the motion failed to pass, with four votes for the <br />motion and seven against. <br />6. Officer and Committee Reports and Recommendations <br />A. President <br />1. Seerden and the Commission extended congratulations to <br />Commissioner Norkin as the first recipient of the annual <br />Mel Silberberg Award for/as the longest standing volunteer. <br />2. GSCC Attendance — Seerden said Commissioner's attendance <br />commitments include both the Commission monthly meetings as <br />well as at the Commissioner's assigned committee meetings. He <br />noted that per the Commission bylaws, three absences may be <br />addressed at the discretion of the Commission. <br />3. Appointment of Ad Hoc Committee — Seerden reported that Cleary, <br />Smith and Bengtson have been appointed to and have agreed to <br />serve on the GSCC Applicant Interview Committee for which <br />recruitment will begin in January. He said the members of the <br />committee will develop criteria with emphasis that attendance at <br />GSCC monthly and committee meetings is required. <br />B.
