Award Bid for Borchard Community Park Playground Improvement Project <br />Hare presented the item and reviewed the bid process. The low bidder withdrew <br />his bid due to problems with the paperwork; the second low bidder was then <br />chosen. Hare answered Board member's questions. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to: <br />1. Appropriate $50,000 wireless communication facility revenues in <br />Capital Improvement Fund (13) to Districtwide Assessment account 62- <br />805-811-81792-022. <br />2. Award bid to Unlimited Engineering for $326,500 (Base Bid $282,000 <br />plus Add Alternate #1 $44,500) plus contingency in the amount of <br />$21,960, totaling $348,460 for removal of existing play equipment, <br />sand, resilient surfacing, concrete base, and installation of playground <br />equipment, engineered wood fiber, drainage, decomposed granite, <br />planting and irrigation, and installation of shade structure and <br />concrete paging. <br />A. Preliminary Budget Fiscal Year 2014-15 <br />Lewanda explained this item is the kick-off to the 2014 -15 budget season. It is the <br />second year of the two-year budget adopted last June. There have been no <br />significant changes in revenue either up or down. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />Resolution 040314-A adopting a preliminary budget for fiscal year 2014-2015, <br />that it be read in title only and all further readings be waived and to authorize <br />the General Manager to publish the notice of adoption. <br />10.
