Resolution No. 051624-B Requesting Consolidation of CRPD Election with
November 5, 2024 General Election
Friedl reported this resolution, which comes before the Board every two years, allows
the District to consolidate the CRPD Board of Directors election with the County as it
conducts the General election. He noted that this will be the first year that CRPD's
election will be "by division" rather than "at large." Divisions 1 and 5 are up for election
this year.
It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Buss, and carried 5-0 to adopt Resolution
051624-B requesting consolidation of the Conejo Recreation & Park District
election with statewide general election, that it be read in title only and all future
readings be waived.
C. Public Utility Easement Deed to Southern California Edison Company (SCE) for
the Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Service at Sapwi Trails
Community Park for Calleguas Municipal Water District (CMWD) — Lindero Pump
Station Improvements
Mooney referenced the map included in the Board report illustrating the proposed
permanent easement requested by SCE leading from Erbes Road to the CMWD
Lindero pump station. Mooney provided details of the easement; it is for electrical
power source only and there will be no disruption to Park operations while the work is
being done.
It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Buss, and carried 5-0 to authorize
General Manger to grant a public utility easement in substantial compliance with
the attached Public Utility Easement Deed to Southern California Edison
Company (SCE) for electrical service lines to Calleguas Municipal Water
District's (CMWD) Lindero Pump Station, located at Sapwi Trails Community
Park
D. Amendment #4 to Agreement with Equestrian Trails Incorporated Corral #37
for Use of Conejo Creek West — Equestrian Park
Mooney reminded the Board that in July 2008, the District formalized its agreement
with ETI Corral #37 for the operation and maintenance of Conejo Creek West
Equestrian Park. In June of 2023, Amendment #3 was approved extending the
Agreement for one year. Staff believes a three-year extension is appropriate at this
time.
