Authorize Staff to Proceed with Public Outreach to Explore Suitable
Recreational Uses at Conejo Creek West and Northwest Parks
Mooney gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the history and details of the
Conejo Creek Park Master Plan and the quadrants it represents; this plan was last
updated and approved by the CRPD Board in 1999. Staff has met with Conejo Creek
West stakeholders and the Conejo Creek Master Plan Ad Hoc Committee (Directors
Nickles and Buss) to assess the recreational needs at the Conejo Creek Park
Complex. A broader outreach is now recommended, as staff believes it's vital to
assess the entire community's interest in this "Districtwide" park. As progress is made,
staff may bring back subsequent reports and/or plans for Board review and approval.
It was moved by Buss, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to authorize staff
to proceed with public outreach to explore suitable recreational uses at Conejo
Creek West and Northwest Parks.
Classification & Compensation Study — Follow-up on Proposed Change of JoR
Titles from "Administrators" to rectors"
Friedl reported the adoption and implementation of the Classification & Compensation
Study was brought before the Board on April 18th. The Board approved unanimously
(4-0 with Cusworth absent) a variety of actions to implement the plan except for job
title changes related to the job titles of the "Administrators." The Board did not make a
decision on the narrow question of whether to change the job titles of the
Administrators to Directors. It is now being brought before the Board with staff
recommendation to make this change based on the consultant's recommendation.
Discussion ensued.
It was moved by Buss, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve and adopt
the Classification & Compensation Study recommendation to change the
"Administrator" job title to rector" job title.
A.
