Adoption Of Job Description And Pay Range For Cultural Operations Coordinator Position Jorgensen stated that the new position of Cultural Operations Coordinator was included in the adopted 2001-2002 Fiscal Year Budget, a job description and salary survey were completed by consultant Don Becker, and the position range and placement were established by the consultant and are recommended by staff. In response to Board inquiries, staff explained that the new position will report to a Recreation Supervisor, the scope of the position will expand significantly in terms of technical and administrative expertise, due to the move to the new facilities at 401 Hillcrest which will include a black box theater available to user groups, and the position will be funded with program fees and General Fund budget. Gibson expressed concern about cost and future impact on the budget. Ward stated that the position was previously approved, and the current recommendation was to approve the job description. Authorization To Award A Contract To Channel Islands Paving, Inc. In Amount Of $52,000, And A 10 Percent Contingency, For Construction Of A Sport Court At Oakbrook Neighborhood Park Sorensen summarized the bid process and project, and stated that Channel Islands Paving, Inc. of Camarillo was the low bidder in an amount of $52,000. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Pluth said that a dual size slab is 120 by 120 feet and facilitates more than one court plus a buffer zone.
