Authorization To Purchase Five Vehicles <br />Sorensen summarized the bid process and results. He stated that Paradise <br />Chevrolet was the low bidder for the sport utility vehicle, 9/ ton pickup with <br />utility bed, and the '/-ton 4X4 pickup; Crown Dodge was the low bidder for <br />the s/ ton 4 -door pickup; and Staben Equipment Company was the low <br />bidder for the Bobcat 773GTurbo with attachments. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen discussed the condition of current <br />vehicles, and the need for, and uses of, the proposed vehicles. He noted <br />that the 4X4 pickup with be used by the new ranger, whose position was <br />authorized in the Assessment District. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to award <br />Paradise Chevrolet the bids for the 2002 4 -door sports utility vehicle in <br />the amount of $21,564.78 ($21,213.82 + $350.95) and the 2002 s/4 -ton <br />pickup truck with utility bed in the amount of $23,440.49 ($23,334.56 + <br />$105.93) from Account 10-20-340-0819; award Paradise Chevrolet the <br />bid for the 2002 '/4 ton 4X4 pickup in the amount of $23,396.62 from <br />Account 10-20-350,4810; award Crown Dodge the bid for the 2002'/4 -ton <br />4 -door extended cab pickup truck in the amount of $22,458.09 from <br />Account 10-20-340-4819; and award Staben Equipment Company the <br />bid for the Bobcat 773GTurbo tractor with attachments in the amount of <br />$24,767.29 from Account 10-20-320-4829. <br />9.
