Recreation Division Highlights Page 2 of 4 Revised 09.2023 <br />Thousand Oaks Teen Center <br />Fall Middle School Leagues <br />The Thousand Oaks Teen Center is gearing up for its Fall Middle School Leagues. Boys Soccer, Girls Volleyball, and Boys basketball are slated to begin playing the last week in September. Boys Soccer begins Tuesday September 26, Girls Volleyball will start September 27, and Boys Basketball begins Thursday September 28. We are expecting a total of around forty teams competing against each other this Fall. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Aquatic Recreation <br />Lifeguard Certification <br />As the busy summer season winds down, the Aquatics Unit has concluded the scheduled 2023 American Red Cross certification courses. Throughout the past year, we were able to certify over 80 lifeguard candidates and re-certify more than 40 lifeguards. We offer the highest number of certification courses throughout the year in our region, which draws candidates from the surrounding counties. Our contribution in keeping Lifeguards certified and agencies staffed brings pride to our staff. A new schedule of American Red Cross Certification Courses will be available to the public January 2024. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
