Recreation & Community Services <br />Recreation Division Highlights Page 1 of 4 Revised 09.2023 <br />Recreation Division Highlights <br />Thursday, September 14, 2023 <br /> <br />Borchard Community Center <br />Fireside Concerts <br />On Friday, September 8 Borchard Center hosted its Fireside Concert Series. 41 patrons were in attendance and enjoyed two fine entertainers: Gemini (Bruce Farwell & Renata Decher) as well as, John Batdorf, a prolific singer, songwriter, and entertainer. The price for admission was $15 at the door. Coffee, tea, and cookies were included and provided during intermission. <br />Conejo Creek Programs <br />On Monday, August 28 Borchard Center started its school year programs at Conejo Creek. We had about 20 kids take part in our Monday-Thursday Homework Club, Tuesday Teen Club, and Friday Kids Club. We also started a brand-new Wednesday Family Art Night in collaboration with Art Trek. Borchard Center is excited to see what the school year will bring with new programs and activities at Conejo Creek going forward! <br />Goebel Adult Community Center <br />80’s Party <br />On Saturday September 9, we hosted a Back to the 80’s themed party. We had about 100 people in <br />attendance. Everyone came dressed up and enjoyed dancing and food! Tickets are now on sale at the Goebel Center for “How Thousand Oaks Grew Up” on Sunday September 17 and our Brats & Beers <br />Party on October 13. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
