July 19, 2001 <br />Page 5 <br />C. Adoption Of Resolution Number 071901-19, A Resolution Authorizing <br />Application For Grant Funding Through Park Playground Accessibility <br />And Recycling Grant Program <br />Sorensen modified the recommendation, requesting that the Board adopt <br />Resolution Number 071901-B authorizing the. District to apply for grant <br />funding to the California Integrated Waste Management Board for the Park <br />Playground Accessibility and Recycling Grant Program. <br />He said that the District has the necessary matching funds. <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to adopt <br />Resolution Number 071901-B, A Resolution Authorizing The District To <br />Enter Into An Agreement With The State Of California To Secure Funds <br />From The Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, And <br />Coastal Protection Bond Act Of 2000 Administered By The California <br />Integrated Waste Management Board; that it be read in title only and all <br />further readings be waived. <br />D. Consideration Of August Meeting Schedule <br />Ward indicated that the issue of an August hiatus has been raised and <br />should, therefore, be discussed, and that the budget calendar indicates that <br />adoption of the budget is scheduled for August 2. Personal schedules and <br />preferences were discussed. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Jacobsen, and carred 4-0 to <br />retain the August 2 meeting and cancel the August 16 meeting. <br />9.
