Approval To Jointly Apply With American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) #9 For A United States Soccer Foundation (USSF) Grant For Improvement Of Soccer Facilities At Conejo Creek South Sorensen provided background information relative to the partnership between the District and AYSO to provide soccer -related recreation services at Conejo Creek South (CCS). He said that under current arrangements, AYSO is obligated for a portion of the Maintenance and Operation (M&0) at the site, and in 1995-96 they voluntarily contributed $114,000 toward capital improvements at the facility. He said that AYSO and CRPD have been in discussions regarding a joint application for a United States Soccer Foundation (USSF) grant in the amount of $300,000, and it is expected that the grant funding will go toward the development of additional fields and improved lighting. He noted the presence of Bill Buratto, representing AYSO, and said he was available to answer questions. It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carred 4-0 to authorize staff to jointly apply with American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) #9 for a United States Soccer Foundation (USSF) grant for the purpose of improving soccer facilities at Conejo Creek South (CCS). Jacobsen urged that grants be easily identified in the budget documentation. Sorensen said that grants are identified in the Capital Improvements Fund Budget.
