She said that the net <br />returns for Santa Barbara "Rail & Sail," Canyonlands, and China excursions <br />were $137, $350, and $150 respectively; 36 have paid for the Sea World San <br />Diego trip, 32 for Aquarian of the Pacific, and 31 for the Laguna Pageant; <br />there is one opening left for the IMAX Tour; and an overnight trip to Catalina <br />on September 9-10 has been added to the schedule. <br />Concluding, Sperry said that applications have been accepted for trip <br />escorts, and interviews will soon be scheduled. In response to Graff s <br />suggestion, she said that staff is discussing posting trip elevation information. <br />J. Programs <br />Fiorita reported that a Programs Committee meeting was held on May 16, <br />and 12 topics for future programs were identified, including identity theft, <br />Medicare scams, better auto service, eye problems, wills, living trusts, and <br />long term care, IRS tax topics, natural ways to eliminate pests without the use <br />of chemicals, sleep disorders, guitar lessons, and solar energy. <br />K. Attendance Report - April 2001 <br />Schrock referenced the document, and said that, in comparison to last yea's <br />figures, this years activity units and units of participation both increased, and <br />permit groups impact figures. <br />
