April 1, 202 <br />Page 3 1 <br />Hare reported the Board awarded the initial five-year contract in 2016; it was first <br />awarded to Xanadu, but they did not meet performance standards, so the <br />contract was eventually awarded to Excellent Building Maintenance (EB) for <br />4Y2 years. This one-year extension includes extra custodial services at the Teen <br />Center and the Senior Center; the price increase will be subject to reimbursement <br />through the District's agreement with the City of Thousand Oaks. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />General Manger to enter into Amendment #5 to the Contract for Custodial <br />Services with Excellent Building Maintenance. <br />F. Access to CRPD Public Records Policy & Procedures <br />Friedl reported this policy basically restates the law; since the District is interested <br />in obtaining a Certificate of Transparency from the California Special District <br />Association, it is necessary to have a Board adopted policy in place. It provides <br />clarity on how to request public records from the District. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve Public <br />Records Policy and Procedures. <br />H.
