April 1, 202 Page 2 1 Smith reported this is the preliminary budget for FY 2021-22 and is the kick-off to the beginning of this year's budget process. Public Hearings on the Budget will commence at the next Board meeting on April 15th and will continue at each Board meeting until the final Budget is approved, currently scheduled for June 17th. In the unlikely event that a final budget isn't approved by June 30th, adopting the Preliminary Budget this evening would give the District spending authority come July. It was moved • Lange, seconded • • and -• 5-0 to approve Resolution 040121 -A, adopting a preliminary budget for FY 2021-22, that it be read in title only and all future readings be waived, and authorize General Manager to publish the notice of adoption. B. Blimp Purchase The item was pulled from the Agenda. Discussion ensued. C. Amendment #1 to Contract for Landscape Services at Various Park Facilities Hare reported the initial contract was awarded by the Board in 2016 for a five- year term with two optional one-year extensions. This first one-year extension is recommended by staff. It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to authorize General Manager to enter into Amendment #1 to the Contract for Landscape Services with Azteca Landscape. Annex Hidden Valley, Portions of Malibu from LA/Ventura County Line to Naval Base Ventura County (including the Navy's San Nicolas Island) into CRPD's Jurisdictional Service Boundaries This item was pulled from the agenda. Discussion ensued. Holt moved, Huffer seconded, and it carried 3-2 (Lange and Nickles voting No) to curtail discussion of the remaining items that were pulled from the Agenda. E.
