Multi -Agency Agreement for Weed Abatement Services
Hare reported this is the third time an agreement like this has been brought before
the Board. 2012 was the first year that the City, COSCA and the Park District joined
forces to contract for weed abatement services, resulting in cost efficiency and
contract effectiveness. The second time the three agencies joined forces was in
2017; that contract has now ended, and a new contract is necessary for the upcoming
season. There were eleven proposers; an evaluation committee made up of
representatives from the City, COSCA and CRPD reviewed the proposals and two
proposers were interviewed. Staff is recommending SoCal Brush for a five-year
term. The City of Thousand Oaks approved this agreement at their March 16th
Council meeting; the approval tonight is for both CRPD and COSCA. Hare answered
Board member's questions.
