Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program
Smith reported that, earlier this year, the City of Thousand Oaks adopted a
program very similar to the one presented this evening. Certain CRPD personnel
indicated interest in such a program. An anonymous survey, sent to any CRPD
employee over the age of 55 and with 10 or more years of service, was conducted
and confirmed this interest. Smith presented the savings profile of such a program.
Both the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Finance and Audit
Committee were consulted before the final plan was completed. A meeting was
held yesterday for eligible employees to review the program and answer any
questions.
It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 4-0 to authorize
the General Manager to implement a Voluntary Retirement Incentive
Program. Using available fund balance, appropriate up to $200,000 for the
Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program.
i U11IIIIIIIIIIIII N =1 Wei 3 :4 vil
A. Park Dedication Fees
B. Parks Division Report
At the next Board meeting, Hare is planning on presenting materials for a study
session about the Thousand Oaks Boulevard Specific Plan and its effects on parks
and the need for park acreage. A Rancho Portrero Ad Hoc Committee meeting will
be held on September 15th; Directors Lange and Nickles will be attending. Preliminary
meetings have already been held with City staff to move that project forward. The
preliminary drawings have been submitted by the architects of the Conejo
Community Park project and they look fantastic. Staff will meet to review them; Hare
hopes to bring them to the Board in November.
or,
-i. Recreation Division Report
