ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION 9. NEW ITEMS A. Advertisement of Request for Proposals Regarding Design and Environmental Services for Conejo Community Park and Center Hare reported on the process that led to tonight's recommendation, including staff brainstorming and public outreach to neighbors and stakeholders. Senior Park Planner Mooney presented the concept plan, including details that highlight a peaceful and simplistic park site with a community center offering year-round programming, with indoor/outdoor availability, as well as a larger, outdoor concert venue. Hare reiterated that this is a special and unique facility. The RFP will be two -fold; the consultant will prepare the environmental analysis and the architectural analysis. Communication and community outreach will continue, and updates will be provided along the way. There will be 60 -day proposal turnaround. Hare hopes to come back to the Board in late May/early June with a recommendation based on the RFP results. Mooney and Hare answered Board member's questions and were thanked for their informative presentation. It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to authorize staff to advertise Request for Proposals regarding design and environmental services to develop more detailed plans of Conejo Community Park and Center.
