ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Advertisement of Request for Proposals Regarding Design and <br />Environmental Services for Conejo Community Park and Center <br />Hare reported on the process that led to tonight's recommendation, including staff <br />brainstorming and public outreach to neighbors and stakeholders. Senior Park <br />Planner Mooney presented the concept plan, including details that highlight a <br />peaceful and simplistic park site with a community center offering year-round <br />programming, with indoor/outdoor availability, as well as a larger, outdoor concert <br />venue. Hare reiterated that this is a special and unique facility. The RFP will be <br />two -fold; the consultant will prepare the environmental analysis and the <br />architectural analysis. Communication and community outreach will continue, and <br />updates will be provided along the way. There will be 60 -day proposal turnaround. <br />Hare hopes to come back to the Board in late May/early June with a <br />recommendation based on the RFP results. Mooney and Hare answered Board <br />member's questions and were thanked for their informative presentation. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to authorize staff to <br />advertise Request for Proposals regarding design and environmental services <br />to develop more detailed plans of Conejo Community Park and Center. <br />B.
