NEW ITEMS
A. Annual Update to Conejo Recreation and Park District's Water
Conservation Plan
Hare discussed the annual update to the District's Water Conservation Plan. Since
the Governor's April 2015 Executive Order B-29-15, the District has implemented
many water conservation measures, including an iCentral irrigation control system,
master flow valves, turf conversions, conversions to reclaimed water, irrigation
upgrades, and the addition of an Irrigation Technician. The Governor's Executive
Order has been lifted; however, because of long ranch climate forecasting, the
District continues to be committed to water conservation. In fiscal year 2018-2019,
the District was 25.4% below its water target of 503 units per acre. In addition, the
District has decreased its water use by 40.3% when comparing water consumption
in 2018-2019 to 2007-2008 units per acre. The monthly water usage reports that
are sent to the Board, the Water Conservation Plan, and other pertinent
information is made available on our website.
It was moved by Lange, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to review and
approve annual update report to the District's Water Conservation Plan.
B.
