October 17, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />S. <br />6. <br />7. <br />8. <br />presented information regarding the classical music series and showed a video of a <br />Russian pianist visiting from New York, Anastasia Dedik, who will be performing on <br />October 27, 2019 at the Hillcrest Center Theatre on the Hill. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of October 3, 2019 Regular Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $432,350.65 <br />Payroll $413,700.00 <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />DEFERRED MATTERS <br />ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />A. Board of Directors Meeting Start Time <br />Regularly scheduled CRPD Board of Directors meetings currently start at <br />7:00 PM. Is the Board interested in starting the meetings earlier? <br />Friedl addressed the Board regarding the possibility of having the Board meetings <br />earlier. Director Cusworth expressed a desire to have the meetings at an earlier time. <br />Several Board members expressed concerns about meetings running late and some <br />are concerned with getting up early the next morning to go to work. A discussion <br />ensued among staff and the Board regarding the pros and cons of changing to an <br />earlier time. Public availability to attend meetings is a concern and it was noted that <br />the City and CVUSD meetings start at 6:00 PM. Several Board members were in <br />favor of changing the meeting time to 6:00 PM. It was agreed that Friedl will present <br />changing the meeting time to 6:00 PM as an action item for the next Board meeting. <br />
