Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported District staff met with the Clean Power Alliance (CPA) recently; CRPD is slated <br />to transition to the CPA next month. He will be bringing information to the Board at their <br />meeting on May 2nd; more information is available at cleanpoweralliance.org. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Duerr referenced Recreation Highlights; the Conejo Senior Volunteer Program Annual <br />Appreciation Event was attended by over 250 people. Last Friday, the 3rd annual Flashlight <br />Egg Hunt was held; about 2500 people attended. Tickets are on sale for the Cinco de Mayo <br />celebration at the Goebel Adult Community Center on Friday, May 3rd at 5:00 pm. The <br />Hillcrest Center for the Arts will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary at the Conejo Arts Jubilee <br />on Saturday, May 4th from noon until 4:00 pm; representatives from the City of Thousand <br />Oaks will be making a formal presentation at 2:00 pm and Chair Huffer will make a <br />presentation on behalf of the District at 2:15 pm. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported the City of Thousand Oaks is kicking off its subject matter meetings, to which <br />the District staff has been invited regarding, in particular, Parks, Recreation and Open Space <br />Conservation. Despite earlier queries regarding Board Member's availability on May 30th <br />the CRPD Board meetings will remain as scheduled; the Budget agenda item will be moved <br />from the June 6th agenda to the June 20th agenda. Friedl officially welcomed Tim Duerr, <br />Recreation Services Manager, to tonight's Board meeting; he is filling in for Rochelle Callis. <br />Friedl circulated to Board members a letter from the California Association of Recreation and <br />Park Districts (CARPD) regarding interest in serving on the CARPD Board, which has two <br />vacancies; he asked Board members to let him know if they are interested in serving. The <br />City has held interviews for a Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) <br />Administrator and is getting close to making an offer. There is a need for a closed session <br />this evening with no announcement expected. <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />
