April 4, 2019 <br />Page 3 <br />B. Facility and Filming Fees and Charges Adopt Resolution 040419-A <br />Callis outlined the fee changes recommended, including a recent history of fee changes <br />and the intention of putting the District with neighboring Districts' fees and charges. Field <br />and light increases would not take place until February 2020. Facility use fee changes <br />would take effect on July 1, 2019. It is recommended to keep the filming fees the same. <br />Callis answered Board member's questions. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to adopt Resolution 040419- <br />A, setting the Facility and Filming Fees and Charges for the Conejo Recreation & Park <br />District effective July 1, 2019 and February 1, 2020, that it be read in title only and all <br />further readings be waived. <br />S. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />A. Video Recording of Board Meetings <br />Friedl began the discussion and introduced Mark Segedie, IT Analyst, who reviewed various <br />options for webcasting of CRPD Board meetings. Discussion then ensued regarding the <br />pros and cons of webcasting. Based on the opinions expressed, the item will be tabled. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Goebel Senior Center Commission Meeting Minutes — February 2019 <br />B. Investment Report — January 2019 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported on the recent Thousand Oaks City Council Meeting Study Session on their <br />Capital improvement Budget and stated there was a favorable reaction to the $3 million <br />slated for the Teen Center Expansion and Goebel Center renovation projects. On Tuesday, <br />an RFP was distributed for a consultant for these projects; it is likely staff will return to the <br />Board in June with a recommendation. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis reported Summer Registration begins on April 12th. The schedule for the 2019 <br />"Concerts in the Park" is in the new program guide. On May 30th there will be a retirement <br />party for Coleman; she has been training Tim Duerr on management of the summer concert <br />series. Regarding last Sunday's Persian New Year event, there was a gathering in Moorpark <br />as well as at the Warner Center in Woodland Hills; it was a relatively quiet day at Conejo <br />Creek North. Callis will meet with support staff to determine what changes to make next year <br />in terms of preparing for the event. She shared a Special Olympics flyer that included pictures <br />of some of the participants from our Therapeutics Unit. Borchard Center recently had a very <br />
