Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $689,824.87 <br />Payroll $392,500 <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Nickles, and carried "to approve the Consent <br />Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Amendment #2 to Contract for Drought Response Irrigation Improvements and Turf <br />Conversion Services at Various Park Facilities <br />Hare reviewed the history of this contract, including the need for Amendment #1 in FY 16- <br />17. Amendment #2 is necessary to continue irrigation improvements at McCrea Ranch; it is <br />preferable that the work be done prior to the new budget year due to weather concerns. <br />It was moved by Holt seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to authorize General <br />Manager to executive Amendment #2 to the contract with FS Contractors, Inc., <br />increasing the current Fiscal Year not -to -exceed amount from $200,000 to $250,000 <br />for drought response irrigation improvements and turf conversion services at parks <br />throughout the District. <br />B. Review and Discuss Proposed Updates to Conejo Recreation and Park District's <br />Strategic Plan <br />Friedl reported the recent Board retreat on January 26th was a kickoff to this evening's plan <br />for discussing content and possible changes to the current Strategic Plan. Staff provided a <br />red line strikeout version in the agenda packet included changes discussed at the Board <br />retreat, as well as some changes suggested by staff. Tonight's study session is intended to <br />be a deliberate and thorough (element by element) review of the entire document. <br />Discussion ensued, with clarity provided by staff regarding certain sections and both Board <br />members and staff suggesting various modifications and revisions to the current Plan. <br />Friedl will incorporate changes into a final draft with the changes suggested this evening and <br />bring it back to the Board for consideration. <br />
