CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 5, 2002 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. and led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen and Sorensen, <br />Recreation Manager Wiley, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Administration Of Oath Of Office To Directors Holt, Berger, and Gibson <br />Ward administered the oath of office, and congratulated Directors Holt, Berger, and <br />Gibson. <br />On behalf of the Board, Jacobsen extended congratulations and expressed <br />appreciation for their commitment and dedication. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Steven Gillis, Thousand Oaks, said that after a rain young people have been <br />recklessly driving trucks at Conejo Creek Southwest damaging the site. He urged a <br />coordinated multi -agency effort to stop the problem and correct the damage. <br />Sorensen said that staff responded within 24 hours of being alerted to the problem, <br />and mitigation efforts, such as signage and identification of a contact person, have <br />already begun. <br />Lange suggested that flyers be distributed in the neighborhood. <br />Nicole O'Connell, Thousand Oaks, elaborated on the problem, and said that the <br />problem has caused mud to run into the street. <br />
