CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />November 1, 2012 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Martinez, Nalbandian and Sorensen led <br />the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Gibson, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Jacobsen <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare and Lindsey, Executive <br />Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Youth Outreach Update <br />Lindsey introduced Martinez, Youth Outreach Worker, who introduced the rest of the <br />outreach team, Dan Nalbandian and Elizabeth Sorensen. Martinez's presentation <br />illustrated the ways the team continues to reach out to area youth, including various <br />excursions, special events, etc. which help to build self-esteem and enhance connections. <br />Board members thanked the Youth Outreach staff and expressed their appreciation for the <br />difference they make in the lives of area youth. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None <br />S. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jones, and carried 4-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6.
