CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />February 6, 2014 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Hare led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer. Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare and Lindsey and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Dos Vientos Community Center — Bark in the Park <br />Lindsey introduced Scott Engel, Dos Vientos Recreation Services Manager, who provided <br />a history and overview of the "Bark in the Park" event since its inception two years ago. <br />Engel presented a slide show with highlights from the events and acknowledged the <br />tremendous contributions of Tamara Tornero, Recreation Coordinator at DVC. Board <br />members thanked Engel and his staff for all their hard work and for the informative <br />presentation. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Clint Matkovich, Thousand Oaks, expressed support for the planting of new drought - <br />tolerant plants at Wildflower Park. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Halt, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of January 23, 2013 Regular Board Meeting <br />
