Recreation & Community Services <br />Recreation Division Highlights Page 1 of 4 Revised 07.2024 <br />Recreation Division Highlights <br />Thursday, July 12, 2024 <br />Past Events <br />Thousand Oaks Center <br />Touch-a-Truck <br />This year’s Touch-a-Truck event had over 30 vehicles with about 5,000 people in attendance. Families had the opportunity to play games, win prizes, test their racing skills with RC cars, decorate their own construction hats, dodge water balloon drops from a cherry picker, and enjoy a tractor hayride. <br /> <br />RecVan Luau Party <br />On Saturday June 22, the RecVan did a fun Family Luau at El Parque de la Paz from 11:00am-12:30pm. We had 30 participants that enjoyed coconut bowling, limbo, dolphin ring toss and crafts. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Thousand Oaks Teen Center <br />Dollar Night <br />The Thousand Oaks Teen Center hosted its inaugural Dollar Night on Saturday June 29. Teens purchased well over $100 worth of $1 food items including hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, ice cream bars, nachos, soda, and water. We had music playing while teens played Ping Pong, Cornhole, Darts, and Basketball. It was a fabulous evening as everyone had a great time.
