The <br />haunted house drew 40 people the first year. By the eighth year, attendance had grown to 4,400 people <br />over four nights. A larger venue was needed, so CRPD stepped in to help and the feign of Terror Haunted <br />House relocated to Hillcrest Center in 2008. <br />In 2009, Reign of Terror moved to a vacant store at the Thousand Oaks Marketplace and presented CRPD <br />with a donation. No rent was charged by Thousand Oaks Marketplace. To date, CRPD has received a total <br />of $427,000 in donations from Reign of Terror which has directly supported programming and equipment <br />purchases for the Conej® Theatre for Everyone and the Thousand Oaks Teen Center. <br />In 2020, Thousand Oaks Marketplace relocated Reign of Terror to a space on the lower level and began <br />charging rent in the amount of $70,000 each year. The rent was increased to $75,000 in 2022. <br />This year, the Thousand Oaks Marketplace has increased the rent to $85,000 and the lease period runs <br />from April to December 2023. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLD " GSC <br />Meets 2019-2023 Strategic Plan Goal 4.6: Build, maintain, and support reiationshlps with local <br />organizations engaged in activities consistent with -"he District's mission.
