However, a large number of them did not meet enrollment minimums, <br />leading to a higher-than-normal percentage of cancelled classes. <br />The Sports Department had a large number of independent contractors return in 2022 after choosing not to run <br />programs the year before due to COVID-19 concerns. As a result, 30 more tennis classes were held compared to the <br />prior year, as well as more Spring Break Camps and more classes by contractors such as Dodger Training Academy <br />and TGA Premier Sports. Large waitlists were seen in pickleball programs and pickleball leagues. <br />Dos Vientos Community Center (DVC) has been experimenting with new types of classes to see if the community is <br />interested in them. Not all of the classes are successful, but the overall enrollment for the unit is healthy. <br />Therapeutic Recreation (TR) continues to serve individuals with disabilities while many similar services throughout the <br />region remain closed. There were waitlists for several social programs such as Dinner and a Movie and the BBQ Social <br />at Old Meadows. The Kitchen Capers classes were also very popular and filled quickly with short waitlists. <br />Thousand Oaks Community Center (TOC) has found success in offering more programs for homeschool students. <br />Popular programs included Sewing, Chess, and Animation Studio, all of which had waiting lists.
