For two years now, our staff have been working hard to restore the number of programs made available to patrons and encourage participants to return to in-person programs. The data shows that true progress has been made, but there is still room to grow. After nearly doubling the enrollment of 2021, the District has recovered to three-fourths of its pre-pandemic program enrollments. The Spring 2019 enrollment total for the Division was 9,917 participants (2,688 more participants than the reporting session). Conejo Community Center (CCC) is continuing to regrow its program base while also undergoing staffing changes, as both the Coordinator and Supervisor positions have had turnover within the last year. The Thousand Oaks Teen Center (TEEN) was closed for the duration of the Spring 2022 session. However, they were still able to hold classes off-site and accommodate as many participants as possible. Thousand Oaks Community Center (TOC) had a slow start coming out of the pandemic, but has been able to catch- up to Borchard, Conejo, and Dos Vientos Community Centers over the past year. After school programs, karate, and basketball are all bringing in high enrollment, and new offerings such as Saturday Night Fun have also been successful.
