Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Employment Agreement Dated May 22, 2014 with the <br />District's General Manager <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve and adopt "Amendment 4" to the Employment Agreement Between Conejo Recreation and Park <br />District and General Manager dated May 22, 2014, adjusting annual base salary by 5% from $224,140.64 <br />to $235,347.68. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 22, 2014, the Board of Directors approved an updated employment agreement with the General <br />Manager. On February 4, 2016, the Board of Directors approved "Amendment 1 " to the benefits portion <br />of the agreement by increasing the District's contribution to the General Manager's 457 deferred <br />compensation plan. <br />On January 4, 2018, the Board of Directors approved "Amendment 2" increasing the annual base salary <br />by 5% to $213,470. <br />The attached proposed "Amendment 4", dated December 16, 2020, adjusts the General Manager's annual <br />salary by 5% effective with the pay period beginning December 18, 2021. This is comparable to the <br />2.5%/2.5% adjustments provided to other ConejoRPD employees for FY 2021/22 and 2022/23 assuming <br />no further adjustments are made to GM compensation prior to July, 2023. This action changes the GM's <br />annual base salary to $235,348. <br />The General Manager Employment Agreement, along with amendments and a benefits summary table, <br />are attached and are maintained on the District's website on the Human Resources page. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />5.0 Organization.
