Recreation & Community Services <br />Recreation Division Highlights Page 1 of 6 Revised 09.2021 <br /> Recreation Division Highlights <br />Thursday, September 30, 2021 <br /> Hillcrest Center for the Arts <br /> <br />Upcoming Events <br />• Ventura County Gilbert & Sullivan Repertoire Company presents The Pirates Of Penzance! <br />Our first full production in the HCFA black box theatre since March 2020! Performances run from October 1–17 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. <br />• Gold Coast Performing Arts Association presents Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, a cabaret fundraiser for the Young Artists Ensemble. This fun, female-driven cabaret concert features <br />songs less about finding love and more about finding yourself and longing for new experiences in life! Join us Saturday, October 2 at 7:30pm on the outdoor patio stage. <br />• Young Artists Ensemble’s Hillcrest Players present The Curious Case Of The Cryptid Catchers, written and directed by Ariel McIntyre. Jinky’s! This teenage team of mystery <br />seekers find themselves in the quirky town of Normalville, where nothing and no one is as they seem! All performers age 7-14. Performances will be held on Saturday, October 9 and <br />Saturday, October 16 at 1:00pm and 3:00pm. <br />• Stand-Up Comedy On The Hill will take place on Saturday, October 9 at 8:00pm on the <br />outdoor patio stage. <br />• Young Artists Ensemble presents A Christmas Carol, adapted from Charles Dickens by Mark <br />Andrew Reyes, and directed by Georgeanne Lees. YAE Family Theatre returns to live and in-person just in time to get your family in the holiday mood! Performances held November <br />5–21 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm. <br /> <br />
