CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />September 3, 2020 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />.......... <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 6:01 pm and McQueeney led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Huffer, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Cusworth, Nickles <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare, Smith, IT Manger <br />Segedie and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3 SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />(Cusworth arrived 6:05 pm) <br />Bryan McQueeney, CEO, Ride On, commented on the almost 20 years of service to the <br />community Ride On has provided thanks to its partnership with CRPD. He reviewed the <br />effects the pandemic has had on operations at Ride On, including a lower number of <br />individuals served and a loss of income. This month, a hippotherapy pilot program is <br />beginning that will include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work has begun <br />on a virtual benefit event. The Rancho Potrero project, begun last year and ongoing, has <br />tremendous potential for another successful partnership. McQueeney thanked the Board of <br />Directors and CRPD staff for their continuing support. He answered Board member's <br />questions and was thanked for his informative presentation. <br />1:29 0 W of <br />Sharyn Henry, President, ETI Corral #37, shared a PowerPoint presentation which included <br />ETI's purpose within the community. She expressed gratitude for the Corral's partnership <br />with CRPD. Due to the pandemic, there are no events scheduled for this year. so there will <br />be no income. Corral members are working on cost-free improvements and coordinating <br />with CRPD staff to accomplish necessary repairs. She shared photos from past events <br />including the "Day of the Horse", gymkhanas, awards programs and the ETI Jr. Ambassador <br />program. Henry answered Board member's questions and was thanked for her <br />presentation. <br />
