CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />March 7, 2019 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Huffer called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and Coleman led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt, Huffer, Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare and Lewanda, <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Therapeutics Unit (TR) — Inclusion <br />Devon Herbert, Recreation Coordinator, Inclusion and TR, explained the history behind the addition <br />of inclusion as part of the TR Unit, which was partially based on consultant John McGovern's report <br />and recommendations to the Board in 2017; she also shared how the District is responding to these <br />recommendations. Her report included what has already been implemented, future plans, and <br />examples of current accommodations. Additionally, Cecilia Laufenberg, Recreation Supervisor, TR, <br />presented an update on the TR unit, including some staffing changes, volunteer training and <br />increased youth programming. <br />Herbert and Laufenberg answered Board Members' questions and were thanked for their informative <br />presentations. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
