These plans were refined after <br />meetings with Friedl, Hare, Shauna Welty, Park Planner and Cecilia <br />Laufenberg, Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor. He asked the Board for <br />their approval to move forward. <br />Board members thanked Mr. Block for his initiative and interest in seeing this <br />project through to its completion. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to work with Thousand Oaks Sunrise <br />Rotary Club and community representatives to develop conceptual <br />renovation plans to benefit the Therapeutic Community at Old <br />Meadows. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Budget Performance Report for July 2011 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Banyan Park Community Outreach Meeting will be held <br />next Tuesday, September 20th at 5:00 pm on-site. He has received good <br />feedback from residents — he has fielded approximately six phone calls <br />since the notice was sent to residents. Hare thanked the Board members <br />for attending the McCrea Ranch Ribbon Cutting earlier in the day and <br />expressed his sincere appreciation to CRPD staff for making the event a <br />success. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported the Generation Celebration has been canceled. The <br />Thousand Oaks Arts Festival will occur this weekend. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda announced that earlier this week the Union ratified the proposed <br />contract. The Memorandum of Understanding will be presented at the next <br />Board meeting. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />
