September 1, 2011 <br />Page 4 <br />E. MRCA Cash Report = January — May 2011 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Oakbrook Neighborhood Park and Rancho Conejo <br />Playfield projects are progressing. Dos Vientos Playfield went out to bid; <br />bids will be opened on September 14th with a report to the Board scheduled <br />for October 6th. The Oakbrook Service Yard project has been put out to bid; <br />results will be presented to the Board in early October. A Community <br />Outreach meeting will be held at Banyan Park on September 21St at 5:00 pm <br />to discuss various ideas for its 4-% acres of undeveloped property. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported that fall classes and programs will begin September 12th <br />The last Concert in the Park for the season will be Monday, September 51h <br />Labor Day. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl stated there would be a need for a closed session this evening <br />regarding labor negotiations and that no announcement is expected. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange reported the MRCA's Newsletter, "Symbiosis," has been published <br />and he provided a copy for staff. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange attended a paddle on the L.A. River two weeks ago which proved to <br />be very unique and interesting. He also attended an MRCA meeting at <br />which six beach access properties were accepted. Two weeks ago he <br />attended one of Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District's 50th <br />anniversary events - the concert at Oak Park. Over 10,000 participants <br />
