Youth Outreach Impressions March 2011 <br />Lindsey reported that the District's newest Outreach employee, Rachel Malin, will be <br />leaving the District to further pursue her education. <br />B. Correspondence Regarding Park Dedication Fees <br />C. Goebel Senior Center commission Minutes —April 2011 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the closing yesterday of the application period for the CIP Grant <br />Program; four to five applications have been received. These applications will be <br />reviewed next week and grants to be awarded by the end of the month. <br />Responding to a question by Lange regarding the construction at the Goebel Senior <br />Center, Hare explained the subject area is becoming an "All Star Garden." This is a <br />joint project with the City of Thousand Oaks, Calleguas Municipal Water District and <br />UC Davis. The formation involved removal of landscaping and trees — a <br />demonstration garden is being planned and will be maintained by the Master <br />Gardeners. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported over 3,000 people attended the Memorial Day Concert at Conejo <br />Community Park. A Sports Summit to begin a dialogue with youth sports groups <br />regarding fee changes will be held on Wednesday, June 15th The Generation <br />Celebration scheduled for this Saturday, June 0, has been postponed to Saturday, <br />September 17th. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda report that the District, in partnership with the City of Thousand Oaks, will <br />present the Annual Safety/Wellness Day on Wednesday, June 8th at the Civic Arts <br />Plaza from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. <br />
