CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 16, 2010 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M., and Short led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Jones, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Lewanda and Hare, Recreation <br />Managers Lindsey and Wiley, Parks Administrator Kouba, Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE <br />Reelected Directors Gibson and Holt and Newly Elected Jones <br />Friedl administered the oath of office to Gibson, Holt and Jones, and offered his <br />congratulations. <br />Presentation to Outgoing Director John Short <br />In appreciation for distinguished service to the Conejo Recreation and Park District as a <br />member of the Board of Directors, and on behalf of the Board and staff, Gibson and Friedl <br />presented Short with a proclamation and ceremonial chair. Barbara Kloster, on behalf of ETI, <br />and Charles Huffer, on behalf of AYSO, extended thanks to Short for service to the community. <br />Remarks by Directors and Outgoing Director Short <br />Directors thanked and commended Short for his service to the community and District. He was <br />characterized as a "tireless worker" for the community and youth. <br />Short thanked the Board of Directors for the opportunity to serve, and praised staff for its <br />dedication and hand work <br />2010 REIGN of TERROR HAUNTED HOUSE <br />Wiley introduced Bruce Stanton, who highlighted past and recent Halloween endeavors with the <br />District. He thanked staff and Short for their support and said the recent haunted house event <br />was very successful. He presented a $10,000 check to the District. Board members thanked <br />
