Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Service Employees International <br />Union (SEIU) <br />Lewanda referenced the submitted documentation and highlighted the proposed <br />MOU. She identified the more significant changes in the proposed document <br />including: the term of the new MOU is two years; no cost of living increases during <br />the two years; with this MOU the District begins a two-tiered benefit structure, the <br />second tier is for employees hired after June 30, 2009. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Short, and carried 4-0, with Lange not in <br />attendance, to approve Resolution Number 070909-A, adopting the submitted <br />MOU between the District and SEW adjusting employee benefits; that it be read <br />in title only and all other readings be waived. <br />9. Parks Division Report <br />Hare stated that, relative to the water ordinance restrictions of the City of Thousand <br />Oaks, the District has requested a waiver. He spoke of staff efforts and irrigation <br />measures to conserve water. <br />Phase II at Conejo Creek Park South, including new fields and improved drainage, <br />service road access and new fencing have been completed, and fields are under <br />irrigation and will be ready for play in September. <br />
