Overall, the data collected from the welds during the <br />Design Phase of development will be used to confirm or possibly modify <br />(corrtinued) the interpretations and mitigation recommendations determined from the <br />geotechnical investigation. <br />Second Party Consultant <br />Itis our understanding that a second party consultant will be retained by <br />others to independently review the scope of work, work methodology, <br />preliminary and final analyses, and site recommendations to be used to <br />assess the site. The scope of work by the 2nd Party Consultant that is <br />anticipated to affect our work in terms of additional time includes the <br />following areas: . <br />1 Review the scope of work planned by LGC and provide input where <br />appropriate. <br />Down hole log all of the large diameter borings with LGC field <br />personnel. <br />/ Review the subsurface conditions interpreted by LGC as indicated on <br />geotechnical maps, cross sections and other relevant figures. <br />/ Review the methods of analyses for slope stability assessment, seismic <br />assessment, liquefaction assessment and other relevant work. <br />Review the mitigation options prepared by LGC. <br />1 Review the report prepared by LGC indicating all the work performed <br />including the mitigation option(s) determined as the best fit for the <br />subject site. <br />Oakbrook Service Yard <br />LGC proposes. to perform a geotechnical investigation for.the proposed <br />improvements to the existing District Service Yard located east of Erbes- <br />Road, within the Lang Ranch Community Park area. The following scope <br />of work is based on our discussions with you and review of OSY Concept - <br />01 for the proposed improvements, which include a maintenance building, <br />parking and driveway areas, material bays, storage areas, and open yard <br />areas. Our proposed geotechnical investigation will include subsurface <br />exploration, laboratory testing, geotechnical analysis, and preparation of a <br />final report. The proposed scope of work is outlined below: <br />I Perform a background review of the District Service Yard from a <br />geotechnical perspective, including review of available geotechnical <br />reports and geologic literature, maps and other readily available <br />relevant materials pertinent to the site, and a review of aerial <br />photographs of the site to review the changes to the site over time. <br />P S O M A S Scope of Services I LGC Geotechnical — 39 <br />
