Contract and Scope of Work <br />Over the past several weeks, staff has met with PSOMAS in an effort to further refine <br />the scope of work and PSOMAS's proposal. Key project considerations included in the <br />final proposal include: <br />■ Management of all aspects of the project design <br />• Focus on sustainable design <br />Storm water strategies <br />Biological strategies <br />Geotechnical alternatives and strategies <br />Irrigation and drainage strategies <br />■ Complementary design to surrounding Lang Ranch community <br />Oakbrook Service Yard development <br />Flexible bidding <br />Watershed and environmental educational opportunities <br />Marketing/Fund raisingiGrant opportunities <br />It is anticipated the entire design development permit and construction bidding process <br />will take eighteen (18) to twenty-four (24) months. <br />Future Planning Processes <br />Citizens Design Review Panel <br />Due to concerns regarding phasing of the projects, staff recommenaea and the Board <br />approved the forming a Lang Ranch Community Park Citizen's Design Review Panel to <br />aid staff in reviewing the more precise architectural and engineering. plans for <br />consistency with the approved project. This panel will assist District staff in determining <br />proper and appropriate construction phasing of the project. <br />Construction Management Services <br />In the near future, staff will solicit qualifications and proposals from organizations to <br />provide construction management services.
