Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda stated that a total of 250 lbs. has been lost by approximately 15 <br />employee members of the Weight Watchers program. <br />Holt urged consideration be given to a District sponsored blood drive. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl stated that a Ventura County Special Districts Association (VCSDA) booth <br />will be part of the Ventura County Fair, and invited participation. <br />Friedl discussed the District scholarship program for those in need. <br />He thanked staff members for their budgetary efforts. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange announced that the Coastal Commission has approved the Mountains <br />Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) and Santa Monica Mountains <br />Conservancy (SMMC) Local Coastal Amendment for public access to the <br />Malibu area. <br />Holt said the Triunfo Ball has been scheduled for July, and Bob Biery and Lou <br />Kirby have been named Don and Dona. The Red, White and Blue Ball will be <br />June 20. She and Lange recently attended the local Police Resource Center <br />opening. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on MeetingslConferences Attended <br />Lange highlighted the recent Ride On gathering at Ventura Farms, the June 4 <br />Thousand Oaks Commission on Aging event, at which Leean Nemeroff was <br />named Senior of the Year, and the recent Ventura County Special Districts <br />Association (VCSDA) meeting at Oxnard Harbor District, Port Hueneme. <br />12.
