concert (typically on a Saturday night) whenever necessary. She is well -liked by <br />all, and is always cheerful, patient, and kind. Mary Jo has lived in Newbury Park <br />for over 20 years now and has always been involved in youth sports, her church, <br />and is dedicated to her husband and boys. She works hard and makes a <br />difference in the community and with the teens served. <br />Manuel Ortiz has been with the District since 2006 and has proved his value on <br />a daily basis. Manuel promoted quickly from Groundsworker 11 and has been a <br />crew leader for nearly a year. He currently supervises parks at the west end of <br />the District and is always the "go to" guy for anything that comes up. He <br />continues to show a high level of leadership and gets along well with others. <br />Manuel recently attended Pacific Southwest Maintenance Management School, <br />and plans to implement some of the techniques he learned to enhance District <br />services. Manuel represented the District well at the Ventura Corporate Games <br />this past summer in the demanding sport of bowling. He also enjoys fresh water <br />fishing. We are proud to have Manuel on our team. <br />Strategic Pian Compliance: <br />5.7 Enhance the overall workplace health. This generalized topic area will work <br />on a broad set of organizational health related areas such as employee <br />recognition, wellness programs, enhanced employee training programs, <br />professional training and networking for employees.
