General Manager's Report <br />Ward thanked the Boards of Directors, past and present, for their support, <br />acknowledged and thanked staff, those in other agencies and professional <br />organizations, and Susan, his wife. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Gibson noted the Thousand Oaks Big League 2006 World Series Tour <br />Celebration at Gardens of the World on August 8, and discussed the team <br />and its accomplishments. <br />Lange reported that a Ventura County Special Districts Association <br />(VCSDA) Special Meeting on September 12 has been scheduled for <br />September at Oak Park Community Center to provide a forum for Local <br />Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) candidates to address the <br />VCSDA membership. He said that LAFCO approved the proposed Santa <br />Paula annexation, which will facilitate the development of the waste water <br />treatment facility. <br />Berger noted the status of several legal issues, and said that the fire in <br />Benedict Canyon did not involve MRCA property, and MRCA land is in <br />compliance with brush clearance guidelines. <br />R Follow -Up Reports On Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />
