Minutes 12-14-05 <br />Page 3 <br />B. Annual Appointments To Goebel Senior Center Commission <br />Giovenco referenced the memo and noted the incumbents. He said that <br />the resignation of A. Fiorita submitted November 1 has created another <br />vacancy, applications for appointment or reappointment are due in the <br />office of the General Manager by February 10, 2006, and an election will be <br />held at the March meeting. <br />C. Corresponding Secretary Vacancy <br />Giovenco noted that, as a result of A. Fiorita's resignation, the office of <br />Corresponding Secretary is vacant, and two options are. possible. He <br />identified the options as filling the position by nomination and a vote of the <br />Commission, or leaving the position vacant until the 2006 nominations <br />process. <br />It was moved by Cottman, seconded by Westland and carried to fill the <br />vacancy of Corresponding Secretary by nominations from the floor. <br />Giovenco explained the duties of the position. Cottman, Lawrence and <br />Kozlowski were nominated. Subsequently, Lawrence declined. <br />A ballot was cast, and Benton and Wiley collected the ballots. <br />After verification and confirmation of the ballot count by staff, <br />Giovenco announced that Cottman was elected Corresponding <br />Secretary. <br />5. OFFICER AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />A. President <br />Giovenco reported that he attended the Annual Holiday Party, it was <br />excellent, and he thanked all for their efforts. <br />B. Vice President <br />No report. <br />
