Holt, Director <br />The Board of Directors to approve the use of the mobile stage by The City of Agoura Hills for Sundays, <br />June 18, July 9, July 23, and August 6, 2006, and authorize staff to issue a rental use permit to the City <br />Community Services Department. The mobile stage would be used at Chumash Park for the City of <br />Agoura Hills Summer Concert Series. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Board policy indicates approval by the Board for out -of -district use of mobile stage. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has received a permit request from the City of Agoura Hills, City Community Services Department <br />requesting use of the mobile stage for their outdoor concert series. The concerts are scheduled for <br />Sundays, June 18, July 9, July 23, and August 6, 2006. Agoura Hills is offering four concerts this <br />summer. <br />Since 1993, a positive relationship had existed between Agoura Hills and the District for use of the <br />mobile stage. During the summers of 2003-2005, Agoura used a stage from Rancho Simi Recreation <br />and Park District. That stage is not available this year so the city is requesting to renew our relationship. <br />Agoura Hills used the stage in the past with no incidents. None of these dates conflict with Conejo <br />Recreation & Park District concert series. <br />The mobile stage would be used for various announcements and entertainment. The stage would be <br />delivered, supervised and returned by staff. The approximate rental fee and related staff costs would be <br />about $1,000 per concert, and would include the out -of -district rates, all out-of-pocket costs and a $100 <br />refundable deposit.
