Holt, Director <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, Assistant General Manager <br />DATE: February 2, 2006 <br />SUBJECT: Joint Use Agreement between Conejo Recreation and Park District and <br />Hillcrest Christian School <br />RECOMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute the Joint Use Agreement with Hillcrest Christian <br />for a three-year term. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Since 1999, the Conejo Recreation and Park District and Hillcrest Christian School have <br />had a Joint Use Agreement for the landscape development and use of a .2 -acre <br />undeveloped parcel adjacent to Estella Park. Hillcrest Christian bore all the costs and <br />responsibilities for that development, and in a corresponding Joint Use Agreement, <br />accepted responsibility for the ongoing maintenance costs of that .2 -acre parcel for a <br />period of three years. <br />In exchange for developing and maintaining this undeveloped parcel, Hillcrest Christian <br />School has been allowed the use of that property each school day between the hours of <br />7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. On non -school days, weekends, and between 3:30 p.m. and <br />10:00 p.m. on school days, the parcel is available for public use. <br />The attached Joint Use Agreement will extend the current agreement for three years <br />until February 1, 2009. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Jim Fri I, ' ant eneral Manager <br />J Fla r <br />HILLCREST CENTER • 403 WEST HILLCREST DRIVE • THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA 91360-4223 <br />(805) 495-6471 • FAX: (805) 497-3199 • E-MAIL: parks@crpd.org • www.crpd.org <br />
