Marchesano, <br />As a resident of Thousand Oaks for many yes, I would like to address the issue of light <br />A rough guess would be that 1/3 of the residents (or more) own a Dog ar)L <br />pet and some of them at <br />than one, that <br />would include dogs, cats, horses, birds, hamsters etc. Dogs and cats need a license I have no idea about <br />horses. Cats wonder freely entering other people's yards, killing rodents and birds and using sandboxes at <br />schools and homes as bathrooms. Horses are restricted to certain areas; <br />and gelds, using these areas as bathrooms (nW time you go to the lb they are ridden on streets, sidewalks <br />raiy check out the sidewalks). <br />Thousand Oaks has a great asset a Dog park where the residents can take their dogs to run and play and <br />their owners to get to know each other and form bonds. This shows the residents that the city cares. During <br />the winter months, many of us who work, do not have the opportunity to use the Dog Park it's dark when <br />we leave for work and dark when we home from work. Surely leaving lights on until 8 or 8:30 would <br />not be an inconvenience to anyone. We do not need Football Stadium lights, just lights enough to see our <br />dogs and clean up after them <br />I do not understand how the city can allow a small minority of people stop them from putting in the lights <br />wwheill sn the majority of the <br />people want them. Take a drive past the Dog Park <br />an <br />ee people and their dogs.
