Doane noted that Goebel Senior Adult <br />Center has extensive program offerings listed. <br />L. Attendance Report - June 2005 <br />Koval referenced the document, and noted that, in comparison to last year's <br />figures, both the number of activity units and the units of participation <br />decreased slightly due to a number of classes that did not meet as regularly <br />in the month of June aid that the center was closed for approximately three <br />weeks during the month of .lune. <br />Doane remarked that there has been improvement in the meals being <br />served, and that this may reflect an increase in attendance, Hans concurred <br />that the meals have improved. <br />M. Staff Reports <br />Koval referenced the documentation, reviewed past and upcoming <br />programs, supplied supplemental information, answered questions, <br />reported on the attendance of many of the events, and reported <br />Homeowners and Renters Assistance program attendance to date is 243, <br />that the Summer Hawaiian Dance was cancelled due to very low -ticket <br />sales, and that the Newcomers Orientation held on Wednesday, July 20 <br />had an attendance of 28 with an additional four others coming late <br />extending the time 15-20 minutes to accommodate late -comers. Koval <br />further reported that RSVP will be holding a `Boutique Sale" Thursday, <br />August 4. Information on additional events will be in the August newsletter. <br />Koval reported that building issues and concerns are being addressed and <br />corrected. She further reported that computers have been received and set <br />up and that dialogue has been initiated with City regarding Adelphia Internet <br />connection as the City has franchise agreements with Adelphia. Giovenco <br />suggested that the individual that assisted with computer donation and <br />delivery be thanked and compensated with $200. Cottman indicated that <br />Hans should be recognized for her part in acquiring computers. <br />It was moved by Giovenco, seconded by Westland, and carried to pay <br />$200 as compensation to the individual that transported and assisted <br />with ten computers acquired by center. <br />
