Minutes 7-28-04 <br />Page 2 <br />Two mistakes were identified on page 4; i.e., Item B, line 4, should indicate <br />$1,000, and Item H, line 4 should indicate July 2003. <br />It was moved by Courant, seconded by Hans, and carried to approve the <br />minutes as amended; i.e., page 4, Item B, line 4, change to indicate $1,000, <br />and Item H, line 4 change to indicate July 2003. <br />4. OLD AND NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Election Of 2004-2005 Recording Secretary <br />Giovenco reported that, at the June meeting, as part of the election of <br />Commission officers, a tie vote occurred between Ossenkop and Doane for <br />the office of Recording Secretary, and it would be necessary to cast another <br />ballot. The ballots were passed out, and Wiley and Kranz counted the <br />votes. <br />5. OFFICER AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />A. President <br />Giovenco reported that he attended the Bus Trip Committee meeting, and <br />Spatz would discuss the meeting in detail. <br />B. Vice President <br />No report. <br />C. Recording Secretary <br />No report. <br />D. Corresponding Secretary <br />Manninger reported that a card was sent to Marguerite Barrett, past <br />Commission member and officer, for her 99" birthday. She read a thank <br />you note for Barrett. All wished Barrett well. <br />Manninger noted that three unexcused absences in one fiscal year is <br />grounds for dismissal from the Commission.
