Permit Conditions 2003 Page 2 C. Health and Safety 1. Adequate trash receptacles shall be provided by CVD. Accumulated litter and garbage shall be removed on an as -needed basis. 2. hnmediately after the event all trash and litter shall be removed from the surrounding areas including, but not limited to, Conejo Creek North, OakBrook Service Yard and the School District property. 3. The entire turf area shall be hand raked and/or vacuumed to remove cigarette butts, broken glass, tab tops, etc., in order to accommodate subsequent use. In addition to the above, the entire turf area shall be dragged with a magnetic drag bar to remove small pieces of metal. 4. An adequate number of portable toilets in direct ratio to crowd size shall be provided and serviced daily to maintain a sanitary condition. 5._ Procedures shall be instituted to ensure that no waste water or other materials from trailers, campers, or motor homes are deposited on the site. 6. In addition to those traffic control measures required by the City of Thousand Oaks, CVD shall be responsible for providing a shuttle service between Conejo Creek North and Conejo Creek South during peak use periods and for controlling traffic during setup and takedown periods. 7.. Vehicles and equipment shall not be stored on the property prior to seven days before the event. Due to the limited parking available this year, carnival vehicles and equipment may be stored at the Oakbrook Service Yard located at Erbes Road and Northpark Street between April 21 and May 9, 2004. -All equipment shall be removed from District property within a maximum of seven days after the event. Equipment left beyond seven days may be removed from the property by Conejo Recreation and Park District at CVD's expense. S.. Setup or teardown of equipment or functions shall not be permitted between 10 p.m. and sunrise, except under emergency conditions. 9_. CVD and District representatives shall meet on site the day following the event to I ascertain necessary cleanup and repair work to be performed. D. Permits 1. All appropriate permits, including use of the District's portable stage, must be filed with the District thirty days prior to the event. 2._ CVD shall institute permit procedures to control the temporary trailers and mobile homes on the site.
